Blog Post Settings

Chika comes with 4 different post formats: Standard, Image, Gallery, Link, Quote, Audio and Video. When you're creating a new post, choose what post format you'd like and insert the necessary info.

You can also tailor the look of your post by going to Appearance > Theme Options > Blog to hide/show different elements on the post page.

Child Theme Download

Child themes should be used when direct customizations of the theme files are required. We've prepared a child theme that you can use below to help get you started:

To use the child theme:

  1. Install the parent theme but don't activate it.
  2. Install and activate the child theme.
  3. Any direct customizations you make should be done in the child theme. You can place parent theme files into the child theme for customization and they will be given priority.

If updates are made to the child theme, then the direct customizations you've made won't be overwritten when the parent theme is updated.
